Belle

Cinderella

I found the most beautiful aqua pin dot knit jersey for Lily's Cinderella dress. Paired with a white burnout striped jersey for the underskirt and accents, and a glass slipper charm - I love the way it came out! She'll probably wear it the day we're at the Magic Kingdom.

Chef Minnie Three-In-One

We will be having our first character dining experience on this trip, and since Miss Lily's favorites at the moment are Mickey & Minnie we've decided on Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort.

For this one I used the same pattern as I did for Jesse, the Oliva Peasant Dress by Viola Lee. But I kept truer to the original this time and then added a cute little ruffled apron.

But it seemed a shame to have the apron with just Mickey in his chef's hat, so I decided to make it reversible so that Lily can use the dress for her birthday party this summer as well.

Yeehaw!

It's been almost ten years since I've visited Disney's Hollywood Studios (which will forever be MGM in my mind). So I wasn't sure exactly which character to model Lily's outfit after on the day we head to that park.

But after doing some research and seeing that DHS has a strong Pixar presence now, Jesse emerged as the natural choice. Most of this outfit features the same soft jegging material that I used on Snow White with the cute little cowgirl touches.

For the Jesse top I used Viola Lee's Olivia Peasant Dress Pattern, and altered the skirt and ruffle dimensions to fit the length I needed and then added the red ruffle and rosette in lieu of the ties. The ruffled jeggings from the Snow White top will do double duty and go with Jesse as well.

The Jesse Top & Ruffled Jeggings will be available in my Etsy Shop shortly.

Here is another version of Tenderfeet Stitches Milkmaid Dress that I designed for our day in the Animal Kingdom.

Royal Beginnings

Thanks to Cindy Monroe, founder and CEO of Thirty-One Gifts, and the amazing company that she founded eight years ago, I have been able to build a business (www.thirtyoneblessings.com) and an income that allows me to stay home with my baby girl while still contributing to our family's finances. As well as provide some of life's little extras. One of the BIG perks this past year was that I was able to earn a $1600 Disney gift card, and this coming May am able to treat my family along with my parents and sister to a week at Walt Disney World.

So as we started the planning process, one of the things that I have had the most fun doing is designing a Disney wardrobe for my daughter Lily. Lily will be 22 months when we head down to see the Mouse so one of the main things that I've designed the collection around is comfort. Because the last thing a toddler needs during a long day at the park is an itchy princess dress. I found some beautiful soft cottons and knits on fabric.com and got to work.

And so my Everyday Princess collection was born. And since Lily's current favorite is Snow White, it was only fitting that I started with her. As I was doing my sketches I was searching Etsy for patterns to use as a starting point, and I quickly fell in love with the Milkmaid Dress from Tenderfeet Stitches and decided to use it as a base.

I stayed pretty true to the pattern (which was incredibly easy to sew by the way) but shortened it into a top and added a pleat in the front to make it a bit more princessy.

I sewed up a pair of ruffled jegging capris to go with it and am super excited with how the outfit turned out. It's always nice when things look in real life the way you imagined them in your head!

My full Everyday Princess collection will be available in my Etsy shop as soon as I finish up Lily's dresses to use as samples.
